Tiles:-
A Tiles is a thin object usually square or rectangular in shape. Tiles is a manufactured piece of hard - wearing material such as ceramic, stone metal,baked clay or even glass, Generally used for covering roofs , floors , walls or other objects. Tiles is manufactured different size and shape according construction purpose.
> Here we calculate number of tiles in floor area and wall area
Wall Area:-
Here we have a diagram and the following data given
• size of bathroom = 7*6 feet
• Height of bathroom= 9 feet ( Assume)
• Size of Tiles. = 30*30 cm
Solution:-
Formula = wall area/ Area of tiles
So according to formula first we calculate area of wall = Length*Height
Total length of walls = (7*2)+(6*2)
= 26 feet
Wall area = 26*9
= 234 square feet
Area of the door = 3*7
= 21 square feet
Total wall area = wall area - door area
= 234-22. => 213 square feet
Area of the one tile = 30*60. => 1800 cm^2
Change the unit cm^2 to square feet = 1800/1000.
= 1.8 square feet
Now according to formula number of tiles are = 213/1.8. => 118 tiles
The number of tiles required this bathroom = 118 No.
Floor Area:-
Assume we have a floor size is = 11*10 => 110 square feet
Size of floor tile. = 60*60 cm
Solution :-
Formula = Floor area/ Area of 1 tile
Area of 1 tile = 60" 60 cm
= 3600 cm^2
Change the unit cm^2 to square feet = 3600/1000
= 3.6 square feet
Now according to formula = 110/3.6
= 30.5 tiles or 31 tiles
Number of tiles required = 31 No.
